Room for 8 in this 3-bedroom home. Walk to St. Orres restaurant. All other dining, river access, and Gualala Point Regional Park are a short drive away. Art galleries, river trails, and the wild Pacific are all within reach. Morning mist drifts through the treetops as deer graze in the meadow beyond.

The space

Wonderfully bright, modern, and situated within sight of the wild Pacific Ocean, this home sits close to the bluffs just north of downtown Gualala. You'll be able to walk less than a quarter-mile to Cooks Beach by day, and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean while soaking in the private hot tub at night. This single-level home is a delight for beachcombers, hikers, and those looking to explore the Northern California Coast. The main living area is one open, light-filled space with two distinct sitting areas - one with a sectional sofa positioned by the gas fireplace, and another with a sofa and armchairs facing the flatscreen TV. Three sets of glass doors open onto the wrap-around deck - a spot to bring your morning coffee, your binoculars, or your evening glass of wine. The kitchen is airy and roomy, well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island with a breakfast bar for six. But then again, you'll never fail to find a comfortable place to sit, whether you're gathering around the formal dining room table for 10 or sharing a casual lunch at the kitchen table overlooking the ocean. After an evening soak in the hot tub outside on the deck, you can retire to one of three bedrooms, including a main suite with a private bathroom and direct access to the deck and hot tub. It was a beautiful property! The house was spacious and gorgeous. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had great showers and one with a tub. The kitchen had all the staple cookware for meals. Best of all was the huge porch overlooking the ocean with a wonderful hot tub. It's an easy walk to Cooks beach and a quick drive to town. The management company was incredibly responsive and helpful. The only downside (not at all an issue with the rental) was having to check out by 10AM. This seems to be a new normal for VRBO and it's a bummer to feel rushed on the last day instead of having an extra hour to eat breakfast and sip coffee on the porch. I hope these rentals will go back to the the more reasonable check out time of 11AM. Again, that is not at all specific to this place, which was wonderful!!!
