This Privacy Policy describes how Casago Sonoma County ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://searanchsonoma.com and related pages operated as part of Sea Ranch & Sonoma Vacation Homes (collectively, the "Site").

Casago Sonoma County is an independently owned and operated franchisee of Casago International LLC and its affiliates ("Casago"). We are the business responsible for information collected through this Site. Casago's corporate privacy policy at casago.com/privacy-policy does not cover this Site.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Booking and inquiry information — name, email, phone number, mailing address, travel dates, party size, property preferences, and messages you send through our contact forms or chat.
Payment information — payment card details and billing address are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Identity and screening information — when required for a reservation, we may collect government ID, date of birth, or other information needed for guest screening, fraud prevention, or compliance with rental agreements.
Device and usage information — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Communications — records of email, SMS, and chat messages between you and our team, including messages sent through Akia and other guest-communication tools.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

process reservations, payments, and refunds;
respond to inquiries and provide guest support before, during, and after your stay;
send booking confirmations, house rules, check-in instructions, and service messages;
screen guests and prevent fraud where permitted by law;
operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
send marketing communications where you have opted in or where permitted by law (you may opt out at any time).

How we share information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service providers — with vendors who help us operate the Site, process bookings, communicate with guests, and run our business (see "Service providers" below).
Property owners and HOAs — when needed to fulfill a reservation, manage the property, or comply with community rules.
Casago and affiliates — reservation, transaction, and operational data may be shared with Casago International LLC and its affiliates for franchise support, brand standards, reporting, and related business purposes.
Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Casago Sonoma County, our guests, owners, or others.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information as that term is defined under California law.

Service providers

We use trusted third parties to help operate the Site and deliver our services. These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it. Our current providers include:

Guesty — property management, reservations, and GuestyPay payment processing
Akia — guest messaging, website chat, and guest screening
Breezeway — property operations and maintenance coordination
Mailjet — transactional and marketing email delivery
Vercel — website hosting and performance analytics
Supabase — data infrastructure and backend services
Google and Meta — advertising and conversion measurement when enabled (we will update this policy when advertising cookies are in use)

Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data they receive directly from you or on our behalf.

SMS and text messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from us, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. We may use Akia or similar providers to deliver SMS messages.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand how visitors use it. Corporate Casago policies describe four cookie categories; on this Site today we use:

Strictly necessary cookies — required for core Site functions such as session management and security.
Performance cookies — help us measure traffic and improve Site performance (for example, through Vercel analytics).

We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies on this Site. When we enable advertising or remarketing pixels, we will update this section and provide any required consent choices.

Retention

The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
