The nautical theme begins in the living room, which features soft leather furnishings and a wall of windows that face the water. Step inside and settle in -- every room and amenity in this home is yours for your stay. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. This home welcomes up to 1 dog -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.

And although Sea Ranch is known as a place to unplug, Ocean Star offers the modern conveniences of WiFi, central air-conditioning, and a private washer/dryer. Your family dog is also welcome to join you, but Good to know: a small additional fee will apply.
Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.
Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.
December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. Wildflower season (April-June) transforms the coastal bluffs into a tapestry of color -- worth an extra walk on the trails. Summer offers long days and warm afternoons, though the iconic Sonoma Coast fog often rolls in at sunrise and clears by noon.

Enjoyed two nights at this peaceful, clean home
Beautiful views from the front wall of windows. Quick walk to the bluff trail. Very clean, and wonderful hot tub! Having a BBQ was handy. Kitchen well-stocked with pans, plates, utensils. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

The location of this home in Sea Ranch is excellent: on the meadow, walkable to the Del Mar rec center, close to the golf course and Gualala. This is a modest home that perfectly suited our needs. The furniture is generous - multiple recliners within the sofas, a big TV, and a foosball table - perfect I expect for watching TV if that’s your thing when you are on vacation, or just relaxing and taking in the view. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed and we cooked all but one of our meals. Overall a good experience and I expect we’ll be back.

Having rented houses in Sea Ranch for 30 years we would say this house was just OK. It was rather small and in our opinion rather awkward in decor. The shower pan did not drain so one always stepped into standing water. Initially hot water didn't work; it was fixed the first night. The microwave handle was broken. It would be nice to have some garage access as our bicycles got soaked with the dew. I had the feeling that fit and finish was a bit amateur. BUT… we were in Sea Ranch, and in a good location. ( ps: hot tub was great).

Prior to our arrival, we were informed that half of the sectional couch was broken and would be unavailable. Midway through our stay, we were offered the option of having the owners bring the missing piece, but we did not feel comfortable with that arrangement.
Although multiple ant traps had been placed throughout the house, there were still ants in the kitchen, living room, and closets. In a dog-friendly rental, it was especially difficult to leave out any food, as it would quickly attract ants.
The kitchen appliances appeared to be recently updated and worked well. However, when we opened the microwave, the entire top portion of the door was detached, which seemed like an issue that should have been noticed and addressed previously.
Both bathtubs, including the jetted tub, would not hold water. Additionally, the master shower did not drain properly due to the shower pan not being adequately sloped, causing water to pool during use.

Great place; would stay again. For one of the more affordable places in THE Sea Ranch, this one was more updated with a newer kitchen appliances and pans, bathrooms and furniture. Foosball table also in great shape.
