The stay
Spiral up to your loft bedroom as sunlight filters through towering redwoods outside every window. This modern canyon hideaway sleeps 6 with three queen beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a multi-level patio perfect for grilling under string lights. Just 0.3 miles from Rio Nido Roadhouse, 1.6 miles to Armstrong Redwoods trails, and 2 miles to downtown Guerneville's riverside scene. Your Russian River adventure starts where the forest meets comfort.
The space
Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings under the heat lamp with the day's bottles. The sectional anchors the main room, angled for forest gazing or movie nights on the wall-mounted flatscreen. Dark cherry cabinets and warm granite line the galley with stainless appliances; glass doors open straight to the deck so dinner prep flows outside without losing pace. A four-seat dining table alongside takes meals and game nights — the whole layout built for the canyon's indoor-outdoor rhythm. OUTDOOR LIVING Your private multi-level zone awaits — dark wicker furniture with blue and white cushions on the stone paver patio, string lights overhead, and a Weber gas grill for forest dinners. A patio heater extends the season while the deck's built-in bench seating and tall privacy fence keep the world at bay. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The main floor bedroom offers a queen bed with direct bathroom access. Upstairs, the loft features a queen bed alongside an exposed brick wall, skylights, and a desk workspace for remote work with a view. A queen sleeper sofa accommodates guests five and six. Sleeps 6. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Full kitchen with dishwasher -- Washer and dryer -- Gas grill with patio heater -- Smart TV with streaming -- Forced air heating (no AC) -- Backup generator -- Parking for 2 vehicles

Neighborhood
Your canyon location puts you in the heart of Russian River wine country while staying wonderfully secluded among the redwoods. Walk just 0.3 miles to Rio Nido Roadhouse for live music and hearty pub fare, or grab morning coffee at The Bar and Cafe at The Rio Nido Lodge the same distance away. The famous Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve entrance is only 1.6 miles — home to ancient coast redwoods over 1,400 years old. Downtown Guerneville's vibrant scene sits 2.1 miles away, where Johnson's Beach offers summer river floating and swimming. For provisions, Safeway is 1.9 miles, though many guests prefer the local charm of MD Liquor and Food (1.7 miles). Wine lovers rejoice: historic Korbel Winery is just 1.4 miles for champagne tours and tastings, while the elevated experiences at Gary Farrell Vineyards await 4.7 miles up scenic Westside Road.
Guest access
Climb the black spiral staircase up to a loft of skylights and exposed brick — vaulted, beamed, and tucked under tall redwoods. The whole home is yours, with multi-level outdoor entertaining spaces strung with lights and outdoor dining among the trees. Punch in the keypad code at the door; one spot waits in the driveway and one in front of the house.
Things to know
While the home lacks air conditioning, the canyon location and redwood shade keep things naturally cool, with cross-ventilation from multiple windows. You'll find the spiral staircase adds drama but requires careful navigation, especially for young children or after wine tasting. The loft bedroom's skylights make for magical morning light but can warm up on summer afternoons — perfect for early risers. Take advantage of the outdoor spaces in the evening when the string lights create a magical dining atmosphere. At 1,043 square feet, the layout spreads comfortably across the main floor and skylit loft, though the galley kitchen works best with just one or two cooks at a time. Cell service can be spotty in the canyon, but the internet connection is reliable for streaming and remote work. A backup generator on the property adds peace of mind during PG&E planned shutoffs and unexpected power outages. The primary renter must be 21 or older.
