The space
At Blue Horizon, mornings begin on the deck as the bay turns silver in first light, afternoons hiking the Sonoma Coast trails or walking Doran Beach, and evenings in the hot tub as the Pacific turns to gold and indigo. The top-floor great room opens to the ocean through picture windows, with a built-in window seat angled for whale-watching and morning coffee. Downstairs, a second sitting area wraps around built-in shelving, and the kitchen anchors the floor — dark grey marble counters, a gas range under a vented hood, an island that seats ten for breakfast. A light wood dining table extends the gathering, with the bay in view from nearly every seat in the house. OUTDOOR LIVING Step through glass doors to the deck where your private hot tub awaits, surrounded by privacy fencing and pink hydrangeas. A sheltered courtyard offers a peaceful morning spot, and a gas grill stands ready for sunset dinners with ocean views. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Five bedrooms across multiple levels ensure privacy. The primary suite features a king bed with a private bay-view balcony. Three additional bedrooms offer queen beds — one accessed through the garage with its own kitchenette, mini fridge, and microwave. The fifth holds a double/full bed, and one room includes a double sofa bed. Three bedrooms have en suite baths, and every room has its own TV. Total capacity: 10 guests. Guest access
Pour your morning coffee in a kitchen wrapped in dark marble counters and watch the Pacific from the picture windows — when evening lands, sink into the private hot tub on the deck. You've got the whole multi-level home, dogs welcome, under vaulted white-plank ceilings. Let yourself in with the keypad code; up to four cars fit between the garage and driveway.
Things to know
The unique layout includes one bedroom suite accessed through the garage — perfect for guests wanting extra privacy, complete with its own kitchenette. The home uses electric space heaters throughout rather than central heating, which works beautifully with the coastal climate that rarely gets truly cold. While there's no air conditioning, the home stays naturally cool thanks to ocean breezes and the elevated hillside location — you'll likely need a light sweater even in summer. The multi-level design means 5-8 stairs between each level — something to consider for guests with mobility concerns. Don't miss sunset from the hot tub — watching the sky turn pink over Bodega Bay while soaking under the stars is pure magic. Pro tip: Spud Point Crab Company is cash or card, and the line moves fast despite appearances. The best weather is often September-October when fog is minimal.

“Great experience. Vacasa answered all our questions promptly prior to arrival, offered early check-in and late check-out. We all hung out in the main room/kitchen where the views were stunning. Everything worked save for a couple of very minor items. Area was super-quiet. Easy walk to the beach.”
“This was a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood! The house was quite large and clean for our family vacation. The separate bedroom and bathroom off the garage was perfect for a little quiet for some family members since the rest of the house was full of little kids. The fenced in outdoor areas were great for the kids too.”
“Seriously, amazing view of the bay. But when you aren't staring at that, the rest of the home is well laid out and extremely comfortable. Works great for 5 of us, but could easily accomodate more. Absolutely recommend.”
